We planted "Danielle Purple '' chrysanthemums, grown in the Arboretum's greenhouses, in 4 garden locations in Phase 2 of A Woman's Garden.  Seven of us stayed for lunch afterwards.  We met new friends and had a wonderful morning.

Ladies who joined us were Kay Weeks, Cindy Langford, Mary Ellen Winborn, Pepsi Windland, Susan Banks, Kathy Cothrum, Regina Bruce, Kunthear Mam-Douglas along with Megan Proska from the Arboretum.

Thanks to Dorothea Meltzer who donated the vibrant green Women's Council t-shirts and rattan wraparound visors.  Thanks to Megan Proska, who brought all the tools, supervised us, and taught us to plant.  Afterwards we visited the Trial Gardens and saw and learned of the efforts of the trial garden teams.  Lots of valuable gardening information is researched and recorded for both commercial and residential gardeners as well as for Arboretum uses. We could not miss a quick walk Pumpkin Village! The weather was perfect which made for a perfect Volunteer Day at the Dallas Arboretum.  We will have another day planned in the spring.
