The Women's Council Day Trip was perfect. The weather was beautiful. The group congenial. The food delicious. The gardens and guides incredible.
The three home gardens - The Sewell's, the Engstrom's, and the Green's - were all different and glorious examples of the Landscape Architect's work.
We were so very fortunate to have John Armstrong guide us through the seasonal color at the Highland Park park at Versailles and the Engstrom's garden. Paul Fields, owner of Lambert's, lead us through the gardens of the Sewell and Green families.
The Vogels entertained us with refreshments and a tour of the spectacular sculpture gardens at the Valley House Gallery.
Then off to lunch. Yasmine and Avner Samuels made us feel welcome and well fed at NOSH. We were on their Facebook page before we left the parking lot!
Thanks to Sarah Andry, Glenda Cotner, Carol Nelson, and Venise Stuart for making this a great day.
